This well deserved promotion reflects her commitment to excellence, and I look forward to Sara’s continued growth and the development of her team in this new role.”
To mark this special moment, we sat down with Sara to learn more about her journey at CIB and what’s ahead for her as she steps into this new chapter. Here’s what she had to say:
Q1: What excites you the most about stepping into the role of Commercial Manager?
A: I really enjoy interacting with the team and trying to encourage enthusiasm and development so this role will hopefully help strengthen those skills to further develop other team members positions within the company and further their growth and skills, as well as my own.
Q2: How do you feel about this new chapter in your career?
A: I’m really excited for this new chapter, it may be challenging in areas and I’m sure there will be plenty to learn along the way but I’m really keen to get stuck in and take on the new role. Hopefully the new team will feel the same way!
Q4: What advice would you have for anyone considering a career in insurance?
A: Personally, in honesty, insurance for me was something I kind of fell into, and luckily for me I found it panned out and I enjoy my role within the industry, and touch wood, it seems to be something I’m pretty good at. Whilst it’s not for everyone and some might not instantly think ‘that’s the career path I want to take’ it shouldn’t be overlooked. The insurance industry is something that plays a pivotal part of many businesses, and also within personal lives. It’s an interesting area to work in where you can develop understandings of policy cover within a range of areas, some you might never have known even existed. It’s also an industry where you can meet and deal with a variety of clients and build relationships which is something I really enjoy.
